
Fight Night at Wings Stadium Complex

Kalamazoo, MI- The Wings Stadium Complex, which is also home to "The Annex" and "The Cube", announce that the complex will host FIGHT NIGHT at 8pm on Friday, March 18th and Saturday March 19th.
FIGHT NIGHT is a production of Greg Ahrens and Joe Byrd. Ahrens is best known for promoting the Toughman Contest in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo for the past 20 years, Byrd is best known for being the 1992 United States Olympic Boxing head coach.
The March 18th event will feature 40+ local fighters. These participants will include residents from all walks of life in Southwest Michigan. USA Boxing will sanction each bout.
All fighters will be between the ages of 17 and 34, and matched according to age, height, weight and boxing experience. All competitors must have at least 30 days of boxing training in order to participate. Each contestant will be required to wear headgear, groin and kidney protectors and boxing gloves (10 to 12 oz.) depending on the contestants' weight. Trained medical staff from USA Boxing will be at ringside at all times to ensure each participants safety. Pre-bout and post-fight physicals will be also given.
The March 19th event will begin with the local fighters to see who is the toughest person in Kalamazoo and will conclude with four professional boxing matches. These bouts are promoted by TMS Fight Night and the professional matches will be sanctioned by The State of Michigan Board of Athletic Control.
The four professional bouts on Saturday night will be Dan White (6-0, 4 KO's) vs. Wayne Mott (Dayton OH), George Crawford (2-0, 1 KO) vs. Chris Burnett (Bay City), JoJo Sanchez (Three Rivers) vs. Reggie Nash (Grand Rapids), and Keith Hendryx (Battle Creek) vs. Eddie Rodriquez (South Haven). Card is subject to change.
Tickets are currently on sale ranging from $13-$50. Tickets are available at the Wings Stadium Box Office (269) 345-5101, during regular business hours of Monday-Friday 10am-6pm or Saturday's from 10am-2pm.
