Countdown to Face-Off
February 4, 2005 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
The K-Wings will finish off their three games in three nights with a road game in Fraser, Michigan against the Motor City Mechanics. This will be fourth meeting of the season between the teams. Kalamazoo leads the season series over Motor City with a record of 3-0-0.
Kalamazoo will be trying to snap their two-game winless streak. The two-game streak is one game shy of tying the K-Wings season high for consecutive games without a victory. Besides trying to end the winless streak, the K-Wings will try to move back into first place in the Central Division. Kalamazoo comes into tonight's game just two points behind the Muskegon Fury for division's top spot.
Motor City is hoping the fourth times the charm against Kalamazoo. Despite being winless against the Kalamazoo this year, two of the three losses for the Mechanics against the K-Wings have come in shootouts. Like the K-Wings, the Mechanics will be looking to end a recent losing streak. Motor City comes into tonight's game winless in their last four games.
