FC Dallas (4-1-4, 16 points) hosts the Vancouver Whitecaps (4-5-3, 15 points) on Saturday, May 19 at Toyota Stadium. This is the first of two meetings between the teams this year. Dallas visits the Whitecaps in Vancouver at BC Place on Sunday, September 23.

Against The 'Caps

This will be the 19st meeting between these two clubs. Dallas is 9-5-4 all-time against Vancouver and 7-1-0 all-time against the 'Caps in games played in DFW. The Whitecaps beat FCD 4-0 in their last visit to Toyota Stadium on July, 29, 2017. It was the club's first win in Frisco. Dallas had won the first seven meetings at home against them, outscoring Vancouver 14-2.

Urruti's Impact

Maxi Urruti has four goals this season, second to Roland Lamah's team-leading five. Urruti has scored in two straight matches and in three of the last four. According to Opta, Urruti leads MLS with three goals scored from outside the box this season. That's as many as he has had in his last three full MLS seasons combined.

Still Good in Goal

FC Dallas goalkeeper Jimmy Maurer ranks third in MLS with a 1.00 goals against average. He is also third in MLS with 76.3 saves percentage (29 saves on 38 shots on goal). He has shutout streaks of 211 minutes and 202 minutes in 2018. That's good for two of the top 10 shutout streaks this season. Maurer spent the majority of his career with the NASL's New York Cosmos. Since the start of the 2016 season, FC Dallas has won 56.9% of league matches at home. FCD has averaged 2.0 points per game at home, the third highest average of any team in MLS.
