FC Dallas News Release

FRISCO, Texas (Nov. 22, 2010) - FC Dallas captain Daniel Hernandez is scheduled for an MRI Tuesday to determine the full extent of damage to his right knee after playing with the injury during the Dallas side's month-long playoff run. A decision regarding off-season surgery for the midfielder will be made following the MRI.

Hernandez suffered the injury prior to the second leg of the Western Conference Semifinal against Real Salt Lake, but the team captain chose to play with the pain during the Dallas side's quest for its first MLS Cup. Recovery could take anywhere from six weeks to five months depending on the extent of the injury.

Defender George John and midfielder Atiba Harris are also expected to have off-season surgery to repair ankle injuries.
