FC Dallas Loans Midfielder Pablo Aranguiz to Universidad de Chile

Frisco, Texas - FC Dallas loans midfielder Pablo Aránguiz to Chilean Primera División team Universidad de Chile on a year-long loan with an option to buy, the club announced today.

Aránguiz, 22, signed with FC Dallas on July 24, 2018, appearing in 20 MLS matches for FC Dallas, playing 844 minutes.

The attacking midfielder earned his first Chilean U-23 call-up in 2019 to participate in the Maurice Revello tournament in Toulon, France. It was his first national team call up since 2016 where he last appeared in three international friendlies for the Chilean U-20 team. He recently joined the U-23s in final preparation for the 2020 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament in Colombia.

Aránguiz was loaned out to Unión Española earlier this season and recorded one assist in seven appearances. He first signed with the Chilean team in 2015 and made his debut in 2016, scoring 11 goals in 3,335 minutes during his tenure.
