FC Dallas Foundation and CornerStone Staffing Announce 2021 Community Action Grantees

Frisco, TX - The FC Dallas Foundation and CornerStone Staffing are excited to announce the 2021 Community Action Grant recipients and the recipient of the Homegrown Helper Gift. Each organization empowers youth and communities in North Texas with an emphasis on one of the Foundation's three pillars: Healthy Lifestyle, Education and Character Building.

"The FC Dallas Foundation supports programs that promote education, health and wellness for youth and communities in North Texas," said FC Dallas Foundation & Community Relations Manager, Brooke Leverette. "Our Community Action Grant Program presented by CornerStone Staffing does just that. We could not be more excited for this class of grantees and the meaningful impact they all have in our communities."

I think with all of those put together with FC Dallas we're reaching out to help others and bringing the community into our family as well."

Each grant recipient receives a $5000 donation from the FC Dallas Foundation.

All Things Made New

The mission of All Things Made New is to provide mentorship, character development, and life skills training for youth to lead fulfilling and rewarding lives. Currently working with 138 students, their vision supports and empowers youth facing high-risk behaviors and the ultimate goal of All Things Made New is to motivate middle school and high school students to be goal oriented with strong character as they grow into adulthood.

Frisco Fastpacs

Dedicated to at-risk students in our community, Frisco Fastpacs ensures no child in Frisco is left hungry when school is not in session. In Frisco ISD, approximately 9,200 students qualify for the free or reduced lunch plan which means that 9,200 students are at risk of going hungry when school is not in session. Frisco Fastpacs combats this by providing weekend pacs consisting of enough non-perishable, easily prepared food to last for the seven meals between the time a child leaves school on Friday and returns the following Monday morning.

L.I.R.A. Group

The L.I.R.A. (Leadership, Integrity, Respect, Accountability) Group is committed to the development, coaching, promoting and teaching life skills to the poor, under served, the youth and young adults. Through programs like Comfort for College and MyCup, the ultimate goal of the L.I.R.A. Group is to improve academic achievement, self-esteem, social competence and avoidance of problem behavior by providing a relationship with a caring team who's committed to help them reach their full potential.


ROSAesROJO makes wellness and cancer prevention accessible to the high-risk cancer population of Hispanic women in North Texas. Their mission is to educate these women on the topics of nutrition, physical activity, emotional health and positive thinking through the use of culturally relevant content in Spanish. The Rojo Way is a 20-hour program that uses in-person and virtual group sessions, one on one mentoring and support groups as an education mechanism to help prevent cancer and other chronic diseases for this high-risk population.

Hugs Café

The 2021 recipient of the Homegrown Helper Gift pres. by CornerStone Staffing, a $5,000 donation to an organization that has been voted on by FC Dallas homegrown players, is Hugs Café. Hugs Café, located in McKinney, is dedicated to providing meaningful training and competitively paid employment to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
