FC Dallas' Community Clinic Series Begins June 7

FRISCO, Texas (June 2, 2011) - The FC Dallas Foundation's annual Oscar Pareja Community Clinic Series presented by CashAmerica will begin at Samuel Garland Park in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, June 7, the club announced today. The clinic will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

FC Dallas forwards Fabian Castillo, Ruben Luna and Reserve Team head coach Oscar Pareja will host the clinic, which runs in association with the Dallas East Soccer Association, All American Smiles, Ruffies and the Garth Brooks Foundation's Teammates for Kids.

The event is the first of five that will take place in the Metroplex through October. Designed to promote healthy lifestyles in children living in underprivileged areas around Dallas, the clinics provide each participant with a shirt, a poster and a chance to train with a professional coach. The community clinics also afford children the opportunity to meet players such as Luna, who ascended from the local community to play in Major League Soccer.

The second clinic in the series is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 10 at Hulcy Park in Dallas. All other Community Clinic dates will be announced in the coming months.
