FC Dallas Announces 2015 Preseason Schedule

FRISCO, Texas (Thursday, Jan. 8) - FC Dallas will travel to Bradenton, Fla., and Austin, Texas, during its upcoming 2015 preseason, the club announced today.

Players will arrive at Toyota Stadium in late January to begin preseason training in Frisco, Texas, before departing to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. on Feb. 1. FC Dallas will face D.C. United in the first of three potential preseason tune-ups during its time at IMG Academy. The team is scheduled to return to Dallas on Sunday, Feb. 8.

"Our preseason schedule has a great balance with the combination of competitive matches against MLS teams and teams from other divisions as well as time to build conditioning for the players," said FC Dallas Technical Director Fernando Clavijo.

FC Dallas will train at Toyota Soccer Center from Monday, Feb. 9 to Thursday, Feb. 12, when the team travels to Austin, Texas, to compete in the inaugural ATX Pro Challenge, a four-team MLS preseason tournament hosted by USL PRO side, Austin Aztex. Tickets for the ATX Pro Challenge go on sale this Friday, Jan. 9. In the first match of the tournament, FC Dallas will face Columbus Crew SC on Friday, Feb. 13. That match is set to begin at 5:45 p.m. CT at University of Texas at Austin's Mike A. Myers Stadium. Regardless of the result, FC Dallas will play again in Austin on Sunday, Feb. 15 at either 1 p.m. or 3:15 p.m.

FC Dallas returns to Toyota Soccer Center on Monday, Feb. 16. The team is scheduled to train for four more days before hosting D.C. United in a friendly at Toyota Stadium on Friday, Feb. 20.

Dallas opens its 20th Major League Soccer regular season against the San Jose Earthquakes at Toyota Stadium on Saturday, March 7. The match, presented by AdvoCare, is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. CT.
