
D.C. United Announces 2015 Preseason Schedule

Washington, D.C. (January 8, 2015) - D.C. United has announced the club's preseason schedule in preparation for the 2015 Major League Soccer campaign.
Players are set to report to RFK Stadium on Thursday, Jan. 22, for physicals and fitness testing. The Black-and-Red will have its first media availability of the season after training in Washington, D.C., on Friday, Jan. 23, before departing to Bradenton, Fla., on Saturday, Jan. 24. While in Bradenton, the team will train at IMG Academy from Jan. 25-Feb. 6, with games scheduled tentatively for Jan. 30, Feb. 3 and Feb. 6. Opponents and game times are pending.
The Black-and-Red will return to Washington from Feb. 7-10. United will then travel to Austin, Texas, to play in the ATX Pro Challenge, a four-team tournament hosted by the USL PRO Austin Aztex. United will face the Aztex on Friday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. ET, and either Columbus Crew SC or FC Dallas on Sunday, Feb. 15.
United will then travel on Monday, Feb. 16, to Dallas, Texas, where the team will train through Sunday, Feb. 22. While in Dallas, the team will train at FC Dallas practice facilities before playing a friendly match against FC Dallas on Friday, Feb. 20.
Prior to the opening of the 2015 MLS regular season vs. Montreal on March 7 at 3 p.m. ET, the Black-and-Red will compete in the quarterfinals of the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League. The team will fly to Costa Rica for the first leg of the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals against Alajuelense on Thursday, Feb. 26, and return to Washington, D.C., for the return leg on Wednesday, March 4. Both games kick off at 8 pm ET.
