FRISCO, Texas (Tuesday, February 24, 2009) - FC Dallas today acquired Toronto FC's natural first round selection in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft and allocation money in exchange for defender Adrian Serioux.

The 29-year-old started all 34 regular season games he appeared in during his two seasons with FCD, including all four positions on the back line and as a defensive midfielder. His career-high four assists in 2008 were good for second on the team.

Serioux was originally acquired by FCD from Toronto on Nov. 17, 2006, although he never played for the Canadian club. Toronto had selected the defender in that day's expansion draft before sending him to Dallas along with the club's second round 2007 MLS SuperDraft pick (14th overall) in exchange for midfielder Ronnie O'Brien.

Dallas also holds Toronto FC's natural second round pick in the 2010 SuperDraft, which was acquired in a 2008 trade that sent Abdus Ibrahim to Toronto.
