FC Cincinnati News Release
CINCINNATI - Today, FC Cincinnati marked completion of steel erection at West End Stadium by placing the last steel beam 110 feet high, the stadium's highest point.
Set to open in Spring 2021, West End Stadium will be an iconic, instantly recognizable, world-class soccer stadium. West End Stadium will stand alone among North American stadiums and take a place among the world's most distinctive sporting venues offering unrivaled matchday experience for fans. The stadium will truly be "The Jewel of the Queen City's Crown."
"Today is another milestone day for FC Cincinnati and a testament to the efforts put forth by our project team to give our city a magnificent world-class venue," FC Cincinnati president Jeff Berding said. "Our partners at Turner Construction and Jostin Construction have led the project through many challenges as FCC prepares to move into the next phase of the club's evolution. We're grateful to them, all the subcontractors and laborers for their exceptional work to bring West End Stadium to life as a stadium that will represent to the world that Cincinnati has become one of the leading soccer cities in America."
The $250 million stadium construction cost is privately funded by the club's diverse, local ownership group, which is led by FC Cincinnati CEO and Managing Owner Carl H. Lindner III. West End Stadium construction is already having a strong economic impact. The project is a majority Union build, employing thousands of workers and paying prevailing wage. As of the end of May, 78% of our construction contracts valued at $160 million dollars, have been awarded to MBE, SBE and WBE certified businesses.
"We are proud of our team's work to drive meaningful inclusion on this important project for our region," Jostin Construction VP of Corporate Development Liza Smitherman said. "Our efforts to involve a diverse group of sub-contractors was not just for the short-term, but for the long-term growth in businesses that have touched this project."

The west-side façade will feature a more traditional, glass aesthetic to create a smooth transition into the surrounding neighborhood
A total of six entrance gates will bring fans into the building at concourse level
The Grand Staircase rises 30 feet from Central Parkway, providing a regal entrance into the stadium and showcasing the club's world-famous supporters march
