
D.C. United Introduces Events DC Jersey Sponsorship for MLS Is Back Tournament

WASHINGTON, D.C. - D.C. United to feature DC's convention and sports authority, Events DC's logo on the back of the team's shorts for the duration of the MLS is Back Tournament at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida beginning July 8.
The strategic partnership between the two extends back to D.C. United's time at RFK Stadium, a facility owned and managed by Events DC. In 2019, Events DC was the presenting sponsor for the club's international friendly against Ligue 1 club, Olympique Marseille, as well as the club's 2019 postseason tour in St. Croix. More recently, the two have teamed-up to launch Washington, DC's bid - DC2026 - to be a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This continued strategic partnership remains committed to growing the game of soccer in Washington, D.C. by hosting more international soccer matches in the District and creating increased visibility of DC as a world-class sports capital.

For over 10 years, Events DC has been at the forefront of conventions, sports, entertainment, and cultural events in Washington, DC. The organization owns, operates and manages many of the top entertainment venues found within the nation's capital.
The MLS is Back Tournament kicks-off with group stage play beginning on July 8. D.C. United's group stage matches for the competition are as follows:
- Toronto FC vs. D.C. United | Sunday, July 12 at 9 a.m. ET (ESPN2)
- D.C. United vs. New England Revolution | Thursday, July 16 at 8:00 p.m. ET (FS1 / TUDN)
- Montreal Impact vs. D.C. United | Tuesday, July 21 at 10:30 p.m. ET (TUDN / TVA)
Pending the results of the club's group stage matches, D.C. United would advance to the knockout stages, with Round of 16 matches beginning July 25 and the Final taking place on August 11.
