July 9, 2020 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
D.C. United News Release
WASHINGTON, D.C., - D.C. United to feature Gainbridge - a member of Group1001's family of insurance businesses - logo on the left sleeve of the club's jerseys for the duration of the MLS is Back Tournament at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida beginning July 8.
This sponsorship comes in the second year of the partnership between D.C. United and Group1001, which has seen Group1001 activate across multiple D.C. United and Audi Field platforms including improving conditions for the club's coaching staff and players through the delivery of new bench seating on the touchline at Audi Field, as well as an active role in the community, assuming title sponsorship for the Black-and-Red's annual Soccer & STEM platform.
"Group1001 has been committed to using their platform and sponsorship to help elevate our club and community from the very beginning of our partnership," says Jason Levien, CEO of D.C. United. "We're proud to wear the Gainbridge logo on our jersey sleeves as we seek to reclaim our reign in Orlando at the MLS is Back Tournament."
As a member of Group1001's family of insurance companies, Gainbridge is an online insurance agency that helps customers protect and grow their savings with confidence. Gainbridge specializes in annuities that are simple, transparent and can be purchased online in minutes. Gainbridge believes that in both sports and investing, consistency makes all the difference. Like all Group1001 companies, Gainbridge brings fresh thinking and a can-do culture to insurance, combining technology and investment management expertise to make a real difference in people's lives.
"As major league sports begin their evolution back into play, the MLS is Back Tournament provides a platform for our brand with visibility and fan engagement through live telecast," said Melissa Jacobs; Vice President, Sponsorships, Group1001.
