Atlanta Dream News Release

ATLANTA, January 9, 2009- How would you capture the Dream? With tip-off to the season slated for June 6, the Atlanta Dream is looking for fresh, creative ideas for the team's 2009 advertising slogan. The winner of the contest will receive two tickets to the 2009 Atlanta Dream home opener on Saturday, June 6, 2009 against the Indiana Fever.

It's been an exciting offseason for the Dream already with the addition of Sancho Lyttle in the dispersal draft, the acquisition of former Tennessee superstar Chamique Holdsclaw and the announcement that the Dream will also receive the first overall selection in the 2009 WNBA Draft.

Now your idea could become the team's advertising slogan for 2009 and potentially used in commercials, print ads and billboards around town. Fans can submit entries by visiting www.AtlantaDream.net. The deadline for entries is Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. EST. A committee will narrow the results to four finalists and the winning slogan will be voted on by Atlanta Dream season ticket holders.

Slogans are short, often memorable phrases used in advertising campaigns and should be simple, direct and concise. Examples of popular advertising slogans include: "Reach Out and Touch Someone" (AT&T), "Gather ‘Round the Good Stuff" (Pizza Hut), "It's Everywhere You Want To Be" (Visa) and "Drivers Wanted." (Volkswagen).

Last year's advertising slogan was "Game On" as the Dream kicked off its inaugural season in Atlanta. What will 2009 bring? You decide!

The Dream will tip off its second season on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 7 p.m. against the Indiana Fever. The team was officially announced as the 14th team in the WNBA on October 17, 2007 and wrapped up its inaugural season of play at Philips Arena this past summer.
