Other winners for February are Brett Hargrave of the Sarnia Sting, Brent Moran of the Niagara IceDogs and Hunter Smith of the Oshawa Generals.

Widely respected by his coaches and peers, Ben has been attending classes at Wilfred Laurier University since September 2011, steadily accumulating credits as he works towards a degree in Psychology. A hardworking young man who exudes passion and confidence both on the ice and in the classroom, he was recently recognized by the Rangers with both the Robin's Goldsmithing Academic Achievement Award and the Channers Men's Apparel Outstanding Player Award.

The 19-year-old assistant captain has recorded a career-high 20 points in 2012-13 and leads the Rangers with a plus/minus rating of +23.

In addition to his studies, Ben also introduced his blog 'Keeping Head Strong' in November 2012. The latest addition to his Head Strong: Fanelli 4 Brain Injury Awareness initiative, the online journal is an opportunity for Fanelli to share his experiences, both past and present, as he continues to promote awareness surrounding brain injuries.
