Fresno Falcons News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons will conclude the home portion of their 2001-02 regular season schedule this weekend in grand fashion by squaring off against the top two teams in the WCHL. This weekend will also be Fan Appreciation Weekend at Selland Arena, as the club will give back to the Falcons faithful who have helped to break the 200,000 attendance barrier for the first time in franchise history.

The Falcons will be giving away prizes all weekend long that include rounds of golf, Fresno State baseball tickets, tickets to Roger Rocka's Dinner Theatre, tickets to a NASCAR race in Las Vegas, two tickets to a San Jose Sharks playoff game, WWF tickets, a two night stay in Costa Mesa, and even more prizes to be announced this weekend.

With only two home dates left in the 2001-02 regular season, the Falcons are bearing down and heading towards the Taylor Cup playoffs with two action packed games:

· Friday, April 5 - The Falcons will start the weekend with a 7:30 p.m. showdown against the Northern Division champion Idaho Steelheads. Friday night is NASCAR night at Selland Arena, with the first 2,000 fans receiving a free #29 Kevin Harvick beanie car courtesy of Wilson's Motorcycles. The game will also feature the #28 Texaco/Havoline Thunderbird driven by the late Davey Allison in 1987 and go cart races during the first intermission. · Saturday, April 6 - The Falcons' final home game of the regular season brings the San Diego Gulls back to town for a 7:30 p.m. bout at Selland Arena. The first 1,500 fans through the doors will receive a free Falcons beach towel courtesy of Wienerschnitzel. The Hallowell Chevrolet Truck Shootout will return to give one lucky fan a chance to win a brand new truck. After a season's worth of Chuck-A-Puck, Homecrafters Spas will give away a spa to one lucky Chuck-A-Puck winner, and Fashion Furniture will give away the recliners used for the Best Seats in the House.

Tickets for these last two home games are available at the Selland Arena box office, all Ticketmaster outlets, or on-line at www.ticketmaster.com.
