Falcons Unveil New Look
August 21, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Fresno Falcons News Release
FRESNO, Calif. â In anticipation of their upcoming season in a new arena and in a new league, the Fresno Falcons Professional Hockey team is also adopting a new logo and new uniforms. The official unveiling of the Falcons' new identity takes place at Falcons Fest 2003, which is being held this evening at the Piccadilly Inn University (4961 N. Cedar Ave.) from 5:30 â 8 p.m.
The new primary logo, designed by The Joe Bosack Graphic Design Co. in Pipersville, Pa., consists of a forward-facing Falcon adorned in Falcons Blue, Falcons Light Blue, California Gold and white, clutching a hockey stick in its talons. "Fresno Falcons" is centered between the wings of the Falcon, allowing for a more practical application of the logo. As an example, for the first time in team history, the new logo enables the use of the city of Fresno on the team's uniform. The secondary logo involves a close-up of the head of the Falcon atop "Fresno Falcons".
As in the past, the team's home sweater will be predominantly white with the primary logo on the front, the secondary logo on each shoulder panel and gold numbering. The Falcons are changing the dominant color of their road sweaters, however, going from black to "Falcons Blue," which is a customized navy.
