August 21, 2003 - ECHL (ECHL)
Greensboro Generals News Release

The Greensboro Generals have named Jeff Gonos as the team's Hockey Operations Coordinator. Gonos will be responsible for coordinating team travel and video operations.

Along with his position with the Generals, Gonos serves in a similar capacity with the Greensboro Prowlers (af2). Gonos recently completed his third season with the Prowlers and fourth in pro football. As the Prowlers' Football Operations Coordinator, Gonos oversees all aspects of the organization's football operations, including coaching, player personnel, player development, equipment, video and athletic training.

"Jeff has done an outstanding job with Prowlers and his experience and talents fit nicely into this new position," said Generals chief operating officer Matt Brown. "I am sure he will be a tremendous asset to Coach Adduono as well as the entire organization."

Prior to joining the Prowlers, Gonos was the Assistant General Manager of the Erie Invaders (Erie, PA) of the Indoor Football League.

The Generals home opener is October 17th at 7:30 PM against the South Carolina Stingrays. Among the Generals' 36 home games in 2003-04 are seven Fridays, seven Saturdays and 10 games on Thursday. All Thursday home games will be "Thirsty Thursday" nights sponsored by R.H. Barringer Distributors, with the Greensboro Coliseum selling $1.00 draft beers.
