
Falcons Release Garlock and Smith From PTO Contracts

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that they released center Ryan Garlock and
defenseman Kenny Smith from their respective Professional Tryout Agreements (PTO).
Garlock, who originally signed his PTO on March 10, played in six games with the Falcons collecting one assist and four penalty minutes. Garlock has spent the
majority of the 2007-08 season with the Johnstown Chiefs where he has recorded 26 goals and 35 assists for 61 points in 51 games. The 6-foot, 202-pound native of
Iroquois Falls, Ontario is currently leading the Chiefs in goals, assists and points. Garlock has also played in three games with the Binghamton Senators this season
registering one assist.
Smith was originally signed by Springfield to a PTO contract on February 28 and he played in a total of two games with the Falcons collecting one assist. Smith is in his
fourth season of professional hockey and he has spent the majority of this season with the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL collecting three goals and five assists for
eight points and 52 penalty minutes in 47 games. Smith has also appeared in eight contests with the Providence Bruins this season.
The Falcons return to action on Friday night when they head to Providence to battle the Bruins starting at 7:05 PM. Springfield also travels to Hartford on Saturday
evening before returning home on Wednesday, April 2 when they host the Worcester Sharks. Single game tickets are on sale at the MassMutual Center Box Office
and online at ticketmaster.com. MassMutual Center Box Office hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturday 10am - 4 pm, or four hours prior to an event.
