Columbus Recalls Clay Wilson

Syracuse, NY - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Clay Wilson.

Wilson, 24, has appeared in 67 combined games with the Crunch and Portland this season, registering 12 goals, 32 assists and 33 penalty minutes, good for fourth in scoring among AHL defenseman. Wilson was selected to represent the Crunch on the PlanetUSA team at the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic in Binghamton earlier this season. He was also recently named the Rbk/AHL Player of the Week for the week ending March 16, 2008.

A native of Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota, the 24-year old Wilson was acquired by Columbus, along with Aaron Rome from Anaheim in exchange for Geoff Platt on November 15, 2007.
