FRESNO, Calif. - Defenseman Geno Parrish scored 4:21 into overtime to deliver the Stockton Thunder's first win of the season in 10 tries against the Fresno Falcons, 2-1.

After a scoreless first period despite 28 shots on goal between the two clubs, Fresno's Shawn Weiman sent home a rolling puck out of a scramble in the slot for his career-best fifth goal of the year at 18:29 of the second.

Stockton tied the game just 2:33 into the third period after Kevin Gardner fed Aaron Foster through the right circle for a shot from point-blank range. Neither team forged back in front the rest of the way and for a league-high 26th time this season, the Falcons headed to overtime.

The Thunder were awarded a power play in the extra session, but Fresno's penalty kill successfully thwarted the opportunity. Back to four-on-four, Stockton's Gardner picked up a puck in his own zone and raced up the left wing past a pinching Falcons defenseman. Gardner centered for Parrish at the far post, who chipped in the game-winner.

The overtime loss ends Fresno's season-high five-game winning streak, and they complete their season series with the Thunder with a record of 9-0-1. The Falcons still have not suffered a loss in regulation to a division foe, standing 21-0-7 against the Pacific.

Fresno is now 42-13-14 overall with 98 points. They finish the regular season with three games next week at Save Mart Center beginning on Tuesday, Apr. 4, against the Alaska Aces. The game is a Carl's Jr. Two-for-Tuesday with two-for-one coupons available at participating Carl's Jr. locations.

Individual tickets are on sale now for Tuesday's game at all Ticketmaster outlets and Save Mart Center's box office with prices ranging from $8 - $22.
