Edmonton Capitals News Release

Victoria, BC - The Edmonton Capitals came up just short in their series finale out on the island. The Victoria Seals needed a home run from Mike Mooney in the bottom of the tenth inning to slide by the Caps by a final score of 6 - 5 Sunday afternoon. Edmonton actually scored a pair of runs in the top of the ninth inning to force matters when Cliff Brumbaugh belted a double with a pair of runners on the bases and two out. Larry Bigbie had another big day at the plate for the Caps going 4 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored.
