EAU CLAIRE, WI - The Bombers struggled Wednesday night and fell to the Eau Claire Express 11-4 in the series finale.

Kyle Figgins (Buffalo) got the Bomber offense going right away with a 2-run single in the top half of the first inning. Eau Claire responded with a run the bottom of the first, and then took a 3-2 lead with 2 runs in the 3rd inning. Figgins added another RBI single in the 4th to tie the game, but the Express busted the game open in the bottom half of the 5th inning.

The first seven hitters reached base in the inning, and Eau Claire brought six of them around to score to give them a 9-3 lead. A solo homer by Daniel Rockett (Texas: San Antonio) in the 8th inning was the only other offensive threat that Battle Creek had the rest of the game. Devin Moore (Indiana State) threw 8 innings for the Express and earned the victory.

Eau Claire won this series finale 11-4, however Battle Creek took the series 2-1. The Bombers now open up a 3-game series in Green Bay against the Bull Frogs beginning tomorrow night. Casey Mulholland (Ole Miss) gets the start on the mound.
