December 1, 2012 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Windsor Express News Release

(SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I.) - The Windsor Express got back on the winning track Friday night as they beat the host Summerside Storm 96-84.

It was the end of a very long road trip for the Express and have now improved their National Basketball League of Canada record to 3-6.

While this one was tied at the end of 12 minutes, 24-24, it was all Windsor in the second quarter as they outscored the storm a whopping 33-17 and took a commanding 57-41 lead at the mid-way point.

University of Nevada product Ray Kraemer scored five points in the last 55 seconds of the first quarter for Windsor who shot 50 percent from the floor in that opening 12 minutes. The final few ticks in the first half proved what the Express are capable of as Mike Helms stole the ball, and got it to centre Daniel Rose who fed Darren Duncan who scored at the buzzer.

Forward Kevin Loiselle had his best game of the season as he had a double-double, grabbing 12 rebounds while adding 10 points. Coming off the bench, Kraemer also was a dominant force in this one as he dialed in long distance four times, hitting 4-of-6 from the three-point range and netting 16 points. Mike Helms had 17 and point guard Duncan, who is stepping into the starting lineup quite nicely, dished for seven assists and swished his way to 23 points. Greg Surmacz also hit double figures for the winners with 12.

For Summerside, which suffered their first home loss of the season, Antonio Ballard had 21 points. Windsor will get a much deserved rest back home for a week before heading back to P.E.I. for a rematch on Friday, December 7 and then head over to Moncton for a Sunday game with the Miracles.
