Yormany Ramirez's two-out single in the top of the ninth scored the go-ahead run, and the Round Rock Express downed the New Orleans Zephyrs 5-3 on Monday, sending the Z's to their eighth straight home defeat.
With a runner at third with one out in the ninth, Zephyrs reliever Nate Field struck out former Tulane star Brian Bogusevic, but then walked Marc Saccomanno on a 3-2 pitch, setting the stage for Ramirez. Lou Santangelo followed with another single to extend the lead to two runs.
The Zephyrs twice came back from deficits, erasing an early 2-0 Express lead with single runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
