
Angels Option Rodriguez to Salt Lake

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has optioned right-handed pitcher Fernando Rodriguez to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Rodriguez, 24, appeared in one game for the Angels in 2009, his major league debut against the New York Yankees on May 2. Rodriguez has appeared in six games of relief for the Bees this season, registering a 0-0 record and 2.38 ERA while holding opponents to a .162 batting average. The El Paso, Texas native was originally selected by the Angels in the 18th round of the 2003 draft.
