Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, C Anthony Romano has been assigned to the Express from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (AHL).
Romano, 24, comes to the Express after skating in 37 games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League this season. With the Sound Tigers, he has notched nine points on seven goals and two assists. The Smithtown, NY, native has played in 125 AHL games with 15 goals and 15 assists for 30 points. The 5-11, 185 pound center has also dressed for 46 ECHL games with Utah and Toledo, notching 36 points (15g, 21a) and 54 PIM.
Chicago returns home tonight against the Gwinnett Gladiators for a Dollar Friday at the Sears Centre Arena, featuring one dollar beers and one dollar hot dogs. The Express are also at home tomorrow, against their division rival, the Cincinnati Cyclones.
