ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express (18-13) led by as many as four runs on the afternoon, but a late rally by the Nashville Sounds (8-21) snapped the E-Train's four-game winning streak.

One day after relying on a five-run fourth inning for a victory, the Round Rock Express failed to hold its lead as the bullpen allowed six runs over 4.0 innings.

The offense didn't wait until the fourth inning to start up on Monday afternoon as shortstop Jurickson Profar doubled with one out in the first inning. First baseman Chris McGuiness backed Profar's two-bagger with one of his own, plating the Rangers' top prospect for the game's first run. Third baseman Yangervis Solarte followed with a flare into left field that fell in front of Nashville's Khris Davis, allowing McGuiness to cross the plate for a 2-0 lead.

Express starter Josh Lindblom was on par with his season, shutting down the Nashville lineup for four innings as the right-hander surrendered just one hit over that span.

The offense gave Lindblom more support in the bottom half of the fourth when second baseman Greg Miclat and right fielder Jim Adduci each walked to begin the frame. Designated hitter Alex Buchholz took care of the rest, doubling into the left-center gap to plate both runners and bring the Express lead to 4-0.

The Sounds touched up Lindblom in the fifth on a solo shot off the bat of catcher Anderson De La Rosa to make the score to 4-1. After a walk to second baseman Hainly Statia and a two-out single from shortstop Blake Davis, the Sounds cashed in two more runs. Right fielder Caleb Gindl lined a 1-0 pitch from Lindblom past the outstretched arm of Adduci for a two-run triple, bringing Nashville within one at 4-3. With Gindl on third and two outs, a diving grab by center fielder Engel Beltre kept the Express lead intact.

In the bottom of the fifth, the E-Train loaded the bases but the offense scuffled and was unable to push across a run. McGuiness was hit by a pitch, while Solarte and Miclat walked to put the pressure on the Sounds bullpen after reliever Travis Webb entered to begin the inning. After striking out Adduci, right-hander Michael Olmsted entered and retired Buchholz on a ground out to end the threat.

In the top of the sixth Khris Davis tied the game with a solo home run to greet right-hander Lisalverto Bonilla who had just entered the ballgame. Lindblom's day finished after allowing three runs on four hits over 5.0 innings. The three runs tied Lindblom's season-high while he also issued three walks. Two batters later, Bonilla was taken deep once more, this time a solo blast by first baseman Sean Halton to give the Sounds their first lead of the afternoon at 5-4.

Nashville brought home two more in the sixth after Bonilla walked Statia and center fielder Josh Prince. Both came around to score on a two-out, two-run double off the bat of Blake Davis which made the score 7-4.

Round Rock rallied in the bottom of the sixth, putting runners on first and second with two outs. Nashville catcher Anderson De La Rosa attempted to pick McGuiness off at first base but his throw sailed into right field allowing Profar to score from second.

Leading 7-5, the Sounds tacked on two more runs in the top half of the eighth to make the final score 9-5, snapping a nine-game losing streak. Bonilla suffered the loss after allowing four runs in his inning of work. Olmsted picked up the win, improving to 1-1 on the season.

The Express will hit the road for an eight-game road trip, beginning with a four-game set in Las Vegas tomorrow night at 9:05 p.m. CST. Round Rock will send right-hander Jake Brigham (0-0, 0.00 ERA) to the mound for his first Triple-A start. The 51's have Collin McHugh (2-2, 3.57 ERA) slated to oppose Brigham in the series opener. After four games in Tucson (May 11-14) to conclude the trip, the Express will return home for eight games beginning with Colorado Springs on May 16.
