
Express defeats Montreal Matrix

Montreal, Canada. For its second home game, the ABA Montreal Matrix wanted to give its sellout, avid supporters another home win. It was not to be. While the Matrix led for most of the first three quarters, at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the visiting Newark Express, in its season opener, took the lead and won 101-92. Quilninious Randel led the Matrix with 26 points. Manix Auriantal, the Matrix best player since the beginning of the season, had a strong first half and finished with 19 points. Point guard Denburk Reid scored 15 while Shawn Browne and San Ibrahim each had 12 points.
The Montreal Matrix head to Rochester to play the Razorsharks on November 19th and will be back at home on November 20th to play the Strong Island Sound where another sellout is expected.
