Explorers Get Shutout In Fargo

Fargo-Moorhead, ND- Stellar pitching by RedHawks right-hander Tyler Herron sent the Explorers home scoreless, pitching a complete game, 1 hit shutout over Sioux City 6-0.

The RedHawks plated six runs on thirteen hits while leaving eleven on base in the 6-0 victory over Sioux City. The Explorers were held to only one hit on the night, which occurred in the top of the second inning (Nate Sampson Single).

Fargo-Moorhead's starting pitcher Tyler Herron (2-0) pitched a gem, getting the complete game shutout with nine strikeouts recorded and only one hit allowed.

Explorers starter Eric Wordekemper (1-1) was charged with the loss for Sioux City, allowing five runs to cross on six innings pitched.

Sioux City will have an off day on Thursday, before starting their three game series vs the Kansas City T-Bones at Mercy Field at Lewis and Clark Park.
