First OC vs PHX Battle of '21
Orange County SC travels to the desert for a date with Phoenix Rising FC on Saturday, August 14 at the Phoenix Rising Soccer Complex at Wild Horse Pass. This is the first meeting between the two Pacific division leaders this season.
A Familiar Face
OCSC will also face former teammate Aodhan Quinn who transferred to Phoenix during the off-season. Quinn tallied 24 goals and 24 assists for Orange County in 86 appearances from 2018 to 2020. In 2021, Quinn has scored four goals and notched one assist in 14 appearances for Phoenix.
UGO IS BACK
After spending the first half of the season with Austin Bold FC, Sean 'Ugo' Okoli returned to OCSC adding more depth in the attacking front. Ugo was Orange County's leading scorer last season with seven goals in 15 starts.
Friendship Rekindled
Ugo joins his childhood friend Darwin Jones back at Orange County. They played together for the first time professionally last season, and it was all fireworks. The two grew up playing together in Seattle.
Welcome, Dillon Powers
OCSC announced the signing of Midfielder Dillon Powers on Thursday, August 12th. The veteran Midfielder helped lead Dundee United to promotion and the Scottish Premiership in 2020. Powers looks to make a major impact for OC with a midfield group that hasn't reached its full potential in 2021.
