FIRST MEETING

Saturday night's match at Championship Soccer Stadium will be the first-ever meeting between Orange County SC and Oakland Roots SC. This is a matchup between a team in Orange County that was a founding member of the USL in 2010 and a newbie in Oakland who are entering its first season in the league.

MYSTERIOUS OAKLAND

For Orange County, Oakland is mysterious in that the two clubs have never met, but also because Oakland has only played three matches. The Roots are the only club in the USL to have played in less than four matches so far this season.
