Preview: Rgv FC Returns to H-E-B Park to Host Real Monarchs

EDINBURG, Texas - Rio Grande Valley FC (4-1-1, 13 pts.) returns to H-E-B Park to host Real Monarchs SLC (1-3-2, 5 pts.) on Saturday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CST and fans can watch live on ESPN+ and locally on Somos el Valle 5.3, cable 1241.
RGV FC: The Toros defeated Miami FC 4-2 after making a comeback in the second half with a 2-0 deficit. Forward Elvis Amoh scored a hat trick, the second in club history and his first. RGV FC dominated the second half as Miami fell short to the visitor. Amoh now leads the Toros with four goals and nine shots. Rodrigo Lopez continues to be key with 11 total created chances while James Murphy leads with three assists (2nd in the USL) and six created chances. With Sunday's win, the Toros continue to rank first in the Mountain Division. RGV FC has been undefeated at H-E-B Park thus far and will look to earn another victory on Saturday.
SLC: Real Monarchs earned their first win of the season on Wednesday in a midweek matchup against Sacramento Republic FC after a first half brace by Milan Iloski. Thus far, the Monarchs have lost three matches with eight conceded goals. Iloski leads the squad with two goals and 12 shots, Malik Johnson leads with nine created chances and has tallied an assist. At goal, Jeffrey Dewsnup has totaled eight saves while Zac MacMath has totaled two in one appearance. With Wednesday's win, the Monarchs are looking to earn their second consecutive win on the road.
