EVERETT, Wash. - Connor Dewar scored twice and Dustin Wolf recorded 38 saves and an assist in his WHL debut to lift the Everett Silvertips to a 3-1 victory over the Kamloops Blazers on Friday, before 3,275 fans at Sandman Centre in WHL action.

The Silvertips aim to close out the brief two game trip with a win on Sunday, 5:00pm (1380 AM / Tips App) against the host Portland Winterhawks at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The Silvertips return home to XFINITY Arena on Friday, Nov. 3 against the Prince George Cougars at 7:35 p.m. Tickets are on sale at www.everettsilvertips.com/hhh.

Wolf stopped 15 shots in the opening period and was supported by Connor Dewar's power play goal, lifting the Silvertips to a 1-0 edge. With 3:48 left, Wolf threaded a long pass up the right wing, catching Kamloops in the middle of a change. Patrick Bajkov took the feed with a clean zone entry and whipped a cross-ice pass to the tape of Connor Dewar, who buried a snap shot from the left circle.

Dewar's second goal of the game put the Tips up 2-0 at 1:58 of the second period, flipping a rebound over Dylan Ferguson on a scramble at the goal mouth manufactured by Riley Sutter and Matt Fonteyne.

Riley Sutter then found Bryce Kindopp wide open at the goal mouth, who waited out Ferguson and stashed a forehand bid up high with 14:13 to play in the second period for a 3-0 edge.

Dewar nearly completed a hat trick bid with less than five minutes to play, but a backhander that deflected off the post underwent video review and was upheld. Onrej Vala's then put the Blazers on the board with 3:41 left in the second period on a left point shot that deflected through traffic.

The Silvertips kept Kamloops at bay in the third period killed off a double minor high stick to Brandson Hein, while Wolf turned away 12 shots to seal the win.
