Everblades Trade Beljo's Rights to Utah for Matt Caria

Estero, FL- Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that the rights for Jadran Beljo have been traded to the Utah Grizzlies for forward Matt Caria.

Twenty-one-year-old Caria from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario joins the Everblades after playing the twelve games with Utah. The six-foot, 192 lbs center has scored 3 goals and 8 assists so far this season.

Prior to his professional debut, Matt Caria played for the Plymouth Whalers and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League. While with the Whalers he competed in 37 regular season games scoring 24 goals and 33 assists for 57 points. In total, the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario native fired in 34 goals and 92 points in 67 games last season. He helped lead the Whalers to the playoffs where he accumulated 15 points in only 11 contests.

The Everblades battle the Reading Royals for three games this week at Germain Arena. Tomorrow night is Wet Wednesdays at Germain Arena as fans can enjoy $2.00 Budweiser drafts. Friday and Saturday the Everblades battle the Royals in their 2nd and 3rd outings. All games face off at 7:30 p.m. at Germain Arena.
