The ECHL announced Tuesday that Jackals center Justin Donati has been named the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 9 - Nov. 15.

Donati led the league last week with 11 points (4g-7a), including a six point effort on Saturday in an 11-3 Jackals win at Gwinnett. The rookie's four goals that evening were the most by any Jackal in a single game since the club joined the ECHL in 2007. Donati's six points that night also set a new team mark for a single game.

Donati leads the ECHL in scoring with 28 points, and also tops the league with 20 assists.

While scoring 11 points in the ECHL last week, Donati also notched an assist and a +1 while playing with the Portland Pirates (AHL) in a 6-1 loss on Nov. 11 at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Donati played in five games in six days beginning Nov. 10.

Earlier this month, Donati was named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Rookie of the Month for October.

On behalf of Justin Donati, a case of pucks will be donated to an Elmira youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-2001, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 22,900 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
