Everblades Alumni to Play FGCU Club Hockey Team in Charity Benefit

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced today that the Everblades Alumni Game will take place on Saturday, October 15 beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Germain Arena. This year's game features a special twist as the Everblades Alumni will battle the Florida Gulf Coast University Club Hockey team.
The game will feature Everblades alumni Ernie Hartlieb, Ryan Brindley, Brent McDonald, Jason Prokopetz, Matt Pagnutti, Michael Grenzy, Jim Brown, Brandon Coalter, Bill Kinkel, Reggie Berg, David Valleries, Keith Anderson, Cam McCormick, and Tom Buckley.
The jerseys worn by the Everblades alumni players will be auctioned off following the Everblades hockey game later that evening against the Gwinnett Gladiators. A minimum $10 donation is required to attend the alumni game. All proceeds from the donations and jersey auction will benefit the Piper Lynne Buckley Foundation.
The nonprofit foundation has raised over $175,000, with over $150,000 donated to the Lee Memorial Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Last year's event raised nearly $25,000, which was enough money to purchase a GE warming bed to bed used at the center. Following the alumni game against FGCU, fans are invited to head outside for the McDonald's Tailgate Party which begins at 5:00 p.m. Everblades alumni will be on hand to sign autographs at the tailgate. There will also be live music from Zombie University, and bounce houses for the kids.
Then at 7:00 p.m., the Everblades will square off with division rival the Gwinnett Gladiators. The first 5,000 fans to enter the arena, will receive a commemorative folder, which features current and former Everblades players presented by Edison College. The alumni jersey auction will take place shortly following the game.
There will be free parking provided to fans that day until 5:00 p.m.
