
Gladiators Add Four from AHL Training Camps

The Gwinnett Gladiators have added four players to the training camp roster and have released two players. Pat Galivan has been assigned from AHL Texas while Joey Haddad, Shane Sims and Scott Fleming have been assigned from the Gladiators AHL affiliate Portland Pirates. Ki-Hoon Han and Samuel Normandeau have been released from their try-out agreements.
Galivan joins the Gladiators after he attended training camp in the AHL with the Texas Stars under former Gladiators head coach Jeff Pyle. Galivan ranked second in scoring with the Gladiators last season. He earned 51 points (12 goals, 39 assists) in 58 games and also had two power play goals for Gwinnett. He earned one point in five games while in the AHL with the Wolves last season.
Haddad split time during each of his first two professional seasons with the Wheeling Nailers and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL. He had 43 points (21 goals, 22 assists) in 50 games with Wheeling last year and collected four points (one goal, three assists) in 16 AHL games.
Sims attended camp with the Portland Pirates before he was assigned to Gwinnett. The East Amherst, New York native earned 71 points (16 goals, 55 assists) in 152 career collegiate games with Ohio State University from 2007-2011. Sims was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 5th round of the 2006 NHL entry draft with the 126th overall pick. He skated in one NHL game with the Islanders last year following his final season as a Buckeye.
Scott Fleming also joins Gwinnett after attending AHL camp in Portland. A rookie out of Plainfield, Ontario, Fleming earned 106 points (54 goals, 52 assists) in 127 career games at Dartmouth College from 2007-2011. He led the Big Green in scoring during his final two years and was the team captain in his senior season.
The Gladiators are the ECHL Affiliate of the Buffalo Sabres and the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League and are members of the ECHL, the Premier "AA" Hockey League and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
