
Everblades Acquire Bayrack From Gwinnett

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush in coordination with head coach Malcolm Cameron announced that they have acquired veteran forward Mike Bayrack from the Gwinnett Gladiators for financial considerations. In a separate transaction, forward Harrison Reed has been recalled to Albany, the Everblades American Hockey League affiliate.
The Everblades have acquired forward Mike Bayrack from Gwinnett for financial considerations. Bayrack skated in a total of 15 games this season with Stockton and Gwinnett scoring two goals and six points and 10 penalty minutes. To date, the veteran forward has played in 651 professional games in North America with seven different ECHL clubs. He has scored 251 goals, 302 assist for 553 points and 538 penalty minutes.
The Edmonton, Alberta native skated in 2006-07 with the Texas Wildcatters and was teammates with current Everblades, Kevin Baker and Colin Nicholson. Bayrack finished second on the team in scoring with 78 points and was tied for the team lead in assists with 45. Everblades 2008-09 ECHL MVP Kevin Baker led the team in scoring with 36 goals, 45 assists and 81 points.
Speedy forward Harrison Reed has been recalled to Albany of the American Hockey League. Reed spent just two days with Florida and appeared one game in Reading in his second assignment with the 'Blades. In nine appearances with Florida, he has eight goals and five assists for 13 points. Reed earned Sherwood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week honors for the week of November 23-29, in which he scored seven goals and four assists in four games.
In 29 games with the River Rats this season, he has two assists and six minutes in penalties.
The Everblades last stop on their month-long road trip is in Trenton, New Jersey against the Trenton Devils. The two teams battle on Friday and Saturday night in the Sun National Bank Center for their two regular season meetings in Trenton. Florida and Trenton will play in Florida's Germain Arena on Wednesday, January 27, Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30.
