This great action shot captured the spirit of the Sandcastle Stadium in the early season. Surf slugger Trey Beamon tries to concentrate on the action. It was taken by Surf team photographer Tom Ciszek, who also works for New Jersey Sports Photos. Ciszek''s photos will be displayed on our web site all season long. The pizza, in case you wondered, was courtesy of Primo Pizza which is sold at Sandcastle Stadium.
The Surf return to the Sandcastle Tuesday to begin a nine-game homestand, one of three this season. The Surf will play the Pennsylvania Road Warriors Tuesday night at 6:35 p.m.; Wednesday night at 6:35 p.m. and Thursday at 11:05 a.m. Tuesday night it''s Two for Tuesdays; with two tickets, two sodas and two hot dogs for the price of one. On Wednesday night it will The World Famous Anchorage Tavern Glove Giveaway, with baseball gloves given to the first 1,000 kids age 3-12. And on Thursday morning it will be a School Special with the 11:05 a.m. start.
