
Eugene Extends Win Streak to Three After Beating Spokane 6-2

The Emeralds keep their fire going by winning game five of the series against the Indians.
Eugene's Landen Roupp started the game at P.K. Park and came ready to play. During his strong six-inning performance, he allowed six hits, no runs, no walks, and struck out nine. He was awarded the win tonight, which makes it his first one of the season.
The Emeralds scored first during the bottom of the third inning. Vaun Brown doubled on a line drive to center field, and Carter Aldrete came home.
Three innings later, Luis Matos stole home on a wild pitch thrown by Spokane's Joe Rock. Later in the inning, Luis Toribio singled on a soft line drive to left field, leading to Jairo Pomares scoring.
Matos and Toribio's bats have been hot this series as they each homered again tonight. Matos hit a two-run home run over the left-center field fence in the seventh inning. In the next inning, Toribio hit his over the center field fence as well to make the score 8-0.
Spokane jumped on the board in the top of the ninth as pinch-hitter Robby Martin Jr hit an infield RBI and sent third baseman Warming Bernabel home. The night ended with a sacrifice fly hit by the Indians' second baseman Nick Kent, and designated hitter Hunter Goodman scored.
Eugene will look to end the series on a good note tomorrow, July 16th. First pitch will be at 4:05 pm PT. The game will be available to watch on MiLB.TV.
