Everett AquaSox (11-8 2H, 42-42) starter Juan Mercedes contained the Tri-City Dust Devils (7-12 2H, 36-46) offense Friday night, giving up one run over six innings in a 4-1 win for the Frogs over the Dust Devils at Gesa Stadium.

The AquaSox got on the board early, as Mike Salvatore knocked a leadoff home run over the left field fence off Jose Salvador (1-5) to take a 1-0 1st inning lead. The shot by Salvatore was the second straight leadoff home run for Everett, with Noelvi Marte going deep to open the game Thursday night.

Salvador went 4.1 innings, giving up four runs (2 ER) on seven hits. The lefty struck out six and walked two in his outing.

The Dust Devils scored their run in the 5th inning. Christian Molfetta drew a leadoff walk, getting to second base on a groundout. Jose Guzman then struck an opposite-field double down the left field line, scoring Molfetta for the 4-1 final margin.

The AquaSox's Isaiah Campbell pitched a perfect 9th inning for his ninth save in as many chances.

In between the final runs and the end of the game the Tri-City bullpen delivered four scoreless innings of work. Dylan King threw two scoreless frames, and Nathan Burns and Glenn Albanese added a scoreless inning of work.

It will be a busy night at Gesa Stadium for game five of the six-game Dust Devils-AquaSox series Saturday. Washington State University football coach Jake Dickert will appear and throw out the first pitch. After the game we'll have postgame fireworks presented by HiLine Engineering and Fabrication.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m, with the game broadcast beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the King Beverage Budweiser Pregame Show at dustdevilsbaseball.com and the MiLB First Pitch app.
