Etihad Player of the Month: Alex Callens Scoops March Award
April 19, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New York City FC News Release
ew York City Football Club defender Alex Callens has collected the Etihad Player of the Month award for March.
The 29-year-old joined NYCFC from Numancia in 2017 and has been in sensational form of late.
A rock at the heart of the defense, he has carried stellar form in 2021 over to the current campaign. One of the first names on the teamsheet, he helped the team keep a clean sheet against Vancouver before a significant 4-1 win against CF Montréal six days later.
That game also saw him land on the scoresheet, reaffirming his reputation as an influence in both penalty boxes.
Everyone at the Club would like to congratulate Alex on his award.
