Estee Harris Added to the All Star Team

(EVANSVILLE, Ind.) - The Evansville Otters are proud to announce that outfielder Estee Harris was added to the 2010 Frontier League All Star team this afternoon.

With the addition of Harris, Evansville now has two players taking part in the festivities including Otters right-handed pitcher Nick Sottung.

Estee Harris made the team as an injury replacement for Gateway outfielder Brandon Peters and will be playing for the Western Division All Star team on July 14th.

"It is a great honor to be selected and to play for the Evansville Otters," said Estee Harris shortly after he heard the news. "I am going to represent my teammates and I look forward to playing in the game."

Harris has been a mainstay in the Otters lineup all season, hitting .286 with three home runs and 27 runs batted in. Estee is third on the team in batting average and is tied for the team lead with five stolen bases.

The Southern Illinois Miners will be hosting the All Star events from July 12th to July 14th. There will be a home run derby, celebrity softball game and a concert with country music stars Craig Morgan and Rodney Atkins. The extravaganza concludes with the All Star Game at Rent One Park on July 14thbeginning at 7:05 PM CST.
