
Crushers â Otters tied in a power outage

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Evansville Otters had a pair of runners on base when a light tower went out in right field, suspending the game with the Lake Erie Crushers tied 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The game will be concluded at 5:05 PM CST with the regularly scheduled game to be played after the conclusion of the suspended contest. The first game will be scheduled for nine innings as the second game will be slated for seven.
On Friday night, both Otters pitcher Angelo Morales and Crushers starter Travis Risser pitched a scoreless first inning.
Lake Erie catcher Joel Collins launched a two-run home run to left field in the next inning as the Crushers pulled ahead 2-0.
The lead wouldn't last long however as Otters first baseman Brandon Cohen ripped a game-tying two-run double to right field. Both Jake Rogers and Greg Alexander scored on the play for Evansville.
Tied 2-2, both pitchers then found themselves in a few jams.
Morales left two runners on base in the top of the fourth inning while Risser left the bases loaded in the bottom half. The Otters starter also left the bases loaded in the fourth as well.
The game would stay tied into the bottom of the fifth inning. Evansville had two runners on base with one out as a light tower went out in right field.
After a delay, the managers and umpires met at home plate along with Evansville staff members to agree on a timetable for tomorrow.
