
Esks Trade Messam to Montreal

(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announced today that non-import running back Jerome Messam has been traded to the Alouettes in exchange for Montreal's 6th round-pick (45th overall) in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft.
During his two seasons with the green and gold, Messam had 260 rushes for 1,317 yards and nine touchdowns and 40 catches for 381 yards. In 2011, the product of Graceland University won Gibson's Finest CFL Canadian Player of the Week five times, Canadian Player of the Month twice and was named the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian.
