HAMILTON - Hamilton Tiger-Cats Vice President of Football Operations, General Manager and Head Coach Kent Austin has hired Jeff Reinebold as the team's new Special Teams Coordinator and James Stanley as Assistant Defensive Backs Coach.
Reinebold will begin his 10th season as a CFL coach in 2013. Reinebold brings a wealth of Canadian Football League knowledge and almost 30 years of coaching experience to the Tiger-Cats.
His previous CFL experience includes stints as the Montreal Alouettes defensive coordinator in 2012, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers head coach from 1997-98, the B.C. Lions assistant head coach and offensive coordinator in 1996, the Edmonton Eskimos special teams and linebacker coach in 1995, the Las Vegas Posse's special teams and secondary coach in 1994, and special teams coordinator, defensive line coach and receivers coach during his first tenure with the Lions from 1991-93.
Reinebold's background features nearly a decade of working with special teams units and includes recent stops at SMU, Hawaii, and Louisiana Tech as well as roles with the Amsterdam Admirals and Rhein Fire of NFL Europe.
"Jeff is an outstanding coach with a tremendous amount of coaching experience," commented Austin. "He's a great teacher with a strong work ethic, and he has the ability to get the best out of the players he coaches. Players love playing for Jeff."
Stanley spent last season as linebackers coach with the Toronto Argonauts after serving as a defensive assistant working with the secondary with the Calgary Stampeders in 2011.
His other previous pro experience includes stops as special teams quality control/defensive assistant coach with the UFL's Hartford Colonials, a defensive coaching intern with the Cleveland Browns and special teams/secondary intern coach with the Detroit Lions.
Stanley also spent three years as the defensive backs coach for the University of Dayton where he oversaw four All-Conference defensive backs.

"James has a great relationship with our defensive coordinator Orlondo Steinauer. He'll be a valuable member of our defensive coaching staff," said Austin.
