
Esks release Davis and Neptune

Edmonton, AB â The Edmonton Eskimos announced today that linebacker Teddy Neptune and fullback Wendell Davis have been released.
"The strength of our draft choices allowed us to make these moves," Eskimo Head Coach Tom Higgins said. "We wish Wendell and Teddy all the best in the future."
Teddy Neptune started the 2002 season with Saskatchewan and played in 14 games. He was released October 8th and signed as a free agent with Edmonton. Neptune appeared in three regular season games, the CFL West Final and Grey Cup for the Eskimos. Neptune was Saskatchewan's third round selection (17th overall) in the 2001 Canadian College Draft and appeared in 16 regular season games for the 'Riders in 2001.
Wendell Davis registered 23 carries for 97 yards and 2 TDs in 11 regular season games.
