Montreal, May 1st, 2003 - The Montreal Alouettes announced today that running back Lawrence Phillips has been released.
The official and only statement regarding this release is the following:
"Lawrence Phillips did not meet the minimum behavioral standards expected from the Montreal Alouettes Football Club and has been released by the organization."
