
Esks duo named CFL Players of Week

Edmonton, AB - On the heels of Friday's 45-33 win over Ottawa, a pair of Edmonton Eskimos have been named CFL Players of the Week. Quarterback Ricky Ray is the Week #14 Offensive Player of the Week and defensive back Donny Brady is the Outstanding Defensive Player.
Ray completed his first 13 passes and finished the night 21-24 (87.5%)for 339 yards and 3 TDs in Edmonton's win. Ray's 87.5% single game completion percentage tied Joe Paopao for second on the CFL's all-time list. Former Eskimo great Tom Wilkinson tops the list with 90.5% August 19th, 1974 vs. Ottawa. In just his second CFL season, Ray is 282-402 for 6,643 and leads the league with 30 TDs and a 70.1% completion percentage.
Donny Brady was a force all night against Ottawa with a pair of INTs, 1 pass knockdown, 3 defensive tackles and 1 special teams tackle. The second year Eskimo is currently tied for second the CFL with 6 INTs.
